Boy am I confused

I understood the EOS blockchain system was meant to be an open source community project however what I am finding is that EOS is more an ICO than anything else ...

There is free software

This is not to say that the EOS has not made the software available , it is and I installed it however , it's enough TO WORK but not enough to allow any kind of practical implementation ...

What is missing ...

In order to ACTUALLY IMPLEMENT THE code ... several conditions need to be met

You need coding examples ...
You need to be able to implement on several platforms ... ie Android iOS Linux Windows
It needs to be CLEARLY EXPLAINED
It needs tutorials - I found 1 on youtube that was very brief and hardly helpful

I'm no genius

I hack scripts , now I'm really pushed to have to actually implement AJAX REST JSON RPC calls to a piece of code who's documentation is sparse and support NON EXISTANT...

THE FIRST THING ANY CODER LEARNS - don't re-invent the wheel

So where do I find all these devs that are beavering away at EOS.IO ? @dan @eosio

I can actually write this system in forth , it's actually very simplistic ... but I really dont feel like
spending months reworking , the code is actually not that bad , so I am writing this in the hope that the steemit proffesors can weigh in and help get EOS kickstarted ...

Due to my own confusion about launching a custom curreny contract (I want the currency to have a unique name the AERO an exchange code XAE and a producer block reward scema customised by me - as yet my confusion about how to do this is so magnificent it's actually begining to give me a massive hard on ...) I may only have a testnet node up in a few days ( dont hold your breath) .

EOS (or something like it is THE FUTURE so any effort made now will pay massive rewards , it's really worth the effort

What it ACTUALLY took to get EOS installed ...

I used the ./build.sh ubuntu route on the git EOS wiki ... however it failed miserably and I had to install libraries and for LLVM and do several things , what I did was search the compliler errors using duckduckgo and install dependancies and fix paths the ./build.sh ubuntu script failed miserably and needs fixing

my final cmake command :

cmake -DCMAKE_CXX_COMPILER=/usr/bin/c++ -DCMAKE_C_COMPILER=/usr/bin/gcc -DWASM_LLVM_CONFIG=~/wasm-compiler/llvm/bin/llvm-config -DBINARYEN_BIN=~/binaryen/bin -DOPENSSL_ROOT_DIR=/usr/local/openssl -DOPENSSL_LIBRARIES=/usr/local/openssl/lib

I end the compile with a complaint about mongo DB however eosd eosc ect which I tried to fix and then discovered
that THE COMPILE had actually run and all the prerequisite files had already compiled
