The small European country Estonia, is advancing leaps and boundaries on the digital initiatives. Soon, Estonia could be the first country in the world to have a national digital currency – Estcoin. The government also launched the e-residency program in 2014, which allowed business owners to apply for virtual Estonian citizenship and operate business virtually from any location without office in Estonia. The individual can access the same online platforms and public services that physical Estonian citizen can access. Replication of similar programs in other countries would catalyze the shift of physical economy into the virtual world. The World is Truly Getting Flat!!!
The adoption of blockchain would also allow Estonia for e-voting, where both the physical residence as well as the virtual citizens can vote. The country is also getting involved in various public services projects based on blockchain
