If you ever feel that it's better if I stop suggesting things just let me know :)
Sometimes eSteem freezes or crashes. Sometimes it tries to load things and it takes forever even on 150Mbps connection.
Quite often I have no way to know if this time it's frozen or it will eventually load the page I'm waiting for and if I just wait a little bit longer eventually it will "unfreeze" and load it? On another hand I can be waiting and waiting forever and nothing would change until I give up.
Sometimes it freezes and stops responding and nothing else helps other than force-close it removing it from the memory and relaunch the app.
Waiting and not knowing which case is this develops a lot of discomfort.
SOLUTION:
Would be great if during any page or comments loading process there was some kind of progress indicator that would show that the app is alive and well, just loading and simply waiting will be ok.
CAUTION:
Please don't show just useless circling something which is done by many developers. Even Apple and Microsoft themselves get it terribly wrong at times.
The very process that shows progress sometimes hangs and it renders the whole point of it useless!
A truly helpful progress indicator should show something more than animated GIF or a similar visual mechanism that fakes progress.
A progress bar that is moving as the page is loading is a solution. A percentage changing is a solution. A little round pie-chart is a solution. Something that is filling up is an option too.
Anything that has a beginning and end.
as opposed to endless motion as a proof that the app is working which is no proof of anything when something goes wrong and an app hangs.
Hope it helps.
All the best!
