Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al Jailani is a 'alim in Baghdad. His biography is contained in the Book of Adz Dzail' Ala Thabaqil Hanabilah I / 301-390, number 134, by Imam Ibn Rajab Al Hambali.
Imam Ibn Rajab declared that Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al Jailani was born in 490/471 H in Jailan city or also called by
Kailan.Sehingga at the end of his name added the word Al Jailani or Al Kailani or also Al Jiliy.Wafat on Saturday night, after maghrib,
on the 9th of Rabi'ul At the end of 561 H in Babul Azaj. He left the land of birth, and wandered to Baghdad when he was young.
In Baghdad learned to some scholars 'such as Ibn Aqil, Abul Khatthat, Abul Husein Al Farra' and also Abu Sa'ad Al Muharrimi.Beliau study so as to master the sciences ushul as well as differences of opinion of the ulama'.Suatu when Abu Sa'ad Al Mukharrimi built a small school in an area called Babul Azaj. The management of this school was left entirely to Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al Jailani. He managed this school seriously.
Settled there while giving advice to the people there tersebut.Banyak already people who repent for the sake of hearing his advice. Many people who sympathize with him, then came to his school. So that school is not strong accommodate him. So, held the expansion.
His disciples are many who become scholars' famous.Sep Al Hafidz Abdul Ghani who compose the book Umdatul Ahkam Fi Kalami Khairil Anam.Sheikh Qudamah compiler book figh famous Al Mughni.
