Casper itself was made by Seymour Reeit and Joe Oriolo around the late 1930. Initially Casper's character and illustrations served as the basis for children's storybooks in 1939. But when Reit took on his military duty, he was killed on the battlefield during World War II. Though the book has not been released. As a result of that event the other Casper character creators Oriolo sold copyright Paramount Pictures in the division of Famous Studios Animation, where the cartoon begun Casper was born.
