BATEE means stone, is a private island with no inhabitants. Natural beauty at the tip of this island of Sumatra, surrounded by the island of Nasi and Bunta Island, both located in the administrative area of Aceh Besar District.
According to historical narratives, Aceh's gravestones are beautifully carved by sculpture artists during the royal period, from Pulo Batee (Pulau Batu). Teuku Teungoh Meraxa is one who is said to own a heritage land in Pulo Batee, Peukan Bada Sub-district, Aceh Besar.
There are a number of animals, such as stone magpie, eagle, wild boar and monkey. This uninhabited island is a very convenient location for turtles lay their eggs every year.
