The lyrics of the song “Witch Doctor” describe a man’s quest to get a woman to love him as he loves her. He goes to a witch doctor who gives him nonsense words to woo her with.
The song is notable for being the first introduction of the characters who later became Alvin and the Chipmunks. The unique voices were accomplished by recording vocals at extremely slow speed than playing back at normal speed to create the high pitched voices
