Porong adalah sebuah kota kecil yang merupakan bagian dari Kabupaten Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur. Selain dikenal dengan adanya Lumpur Lapindo, kota ini sudah sejak lama dikenal dengan jajanan khasnya yaitu ote-ote porong. Jajanan ini sudah dikenal sejak tahun 1970-an dan sudah menjadi ikon kota kecil ini. Jajanan tradisional khas peranakan Tionghoa Indonesia ini dikenal karena banyak para musafir yang membeli jajanan ini sebagai buah tangan, terlebih lagi kota ini sering dilewati oleh orang-orang yang sedang melakukan perjalanan antar kota di propinsi Jawa Timur.
Jajanan ini bentuknya tidak jauh berbeda Ote-ote yang ada, cuma yang membedakannya adalah isi atau bahan pembuat jajanan ini. Jajanan Ote-ote Porong ini dibuat dengan tambahan rumput laut dan daging ayam atau kalau bisa diganti dengan daging babi sesuai dengan pesanan para pelanggannya. Selain itu porsi yang agak besar juga menjadi ciri khasnya. Harga yang dibanderol untuk jajanan ini adalah Rp. 17.500,- perbijinya.
Untuk mendapatkan jajanan ini, pembeli bisa mendapatkannya di jalan Raya Porong (depan eks-Pasar Porong), akan tetapi bisa juga didapatkan di cabang lainnya seperti di kota Surabaya, alamat jelasnya ada di foto di atas. Nah! Bagi yang berminat bisa membeli langsung pada toko-toko tersebut.(hpx)
