The psychological impact of mocking the fat man

According to a study published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ), a fat man who feels that he is being treated unfairly (gets discriminated) because his body shape is getting less exercise.

This study compares two groups of people whose bodies are fat. The first group are people who feel unfairly treated for being overweight, for example by being ridiculed, belittled, or ostracized. The second group consists of fat people who do not feel that they are discriminated against by others.

The result is that the first group tends to be less of a sporting spirit.
