Ancient Tomb in North Aceh Regency Apparently the Princess of Borneo King Brunei Darussalam

Volunteers of Central Information for Samudra Pasai Heritage (CISAH) LHokseumawe on Friday (13/4/2018) again found two ancient tomb complex, in Ujong Baroh Village and Teungoh Village located in Tanah Luas Subdistrict, North Aceh Regency, Aceh-Indonesia. Ancient tombs unkempt was found on reports from people in the area of two villages.

People in the region believe the ancient tomb is a historical relic of Aceh led by the kingdom. However, they do not know the owner of the ancient tomb. Because they do not find any historical references that can be learned. Although there are historical sites in the form of tombstones, but do not have the ability to read the inscription (writing) arabic language carved on nisan.

That's why they hope by providing that information to CISAH volunteers who have been actively exploring ancient historical sources, then the results of these studies are informed to the public. Next is to make the site well maintained. It is expected that the findings can be followed up by the government to continue to take care of it.

To find the historical sites CISAH volunteers held meuseuraya (gotong royong). They dug the two ancient tomb complexes. In two locations it was found 64 gravestone typology of the kingdom of Pasai Ocean that has been set. Of that number, 29 tombstones of which still have a complete pair. While six nisan again have not found the pair of tombstones.

All the tombstones are made of andesit type frost. Then one of the headstones is a woman's name in Arabic. Having researched the epitaph (identity of the owner of the tomb) by the epic scholar CISAH the name, Syarrah Binti King Kayan Bin Zainal Abidin Min Bahri AI, the 860s. Then learn again the name of the woman. It turns out the Princess of Borneo King Brunei Darussalam, King Kayan of the Dayak tribe.

Because in Arabic language encryption there is a phrase "Min Bahri Batang Ai", it is a sentence that reinforces the origin of the character. Makam Kuno di Kabupaten Aceh Utara Ternyata Putri Raja Borneo Brunei Darussalam

Relawan Central Information for Samudra Pasai Heritage (CISAH) LHokseumawe pada Jumat (13/4/2018) kembali menemukan dua kompleks makam kuno, di Desa Ujong Baroh dan Desa Teungoh yang berada di Kecamatan Tanah Luas, Kabupaten Aceh Utara, Aceh-Indonesia. Makam kuno tak terawat itu ditemukan atas laporan dari masyarakat di kawasan dua desa tersebut.

Masyarakat di kawasan itu meyakini, makam kuno tersebut adalah peninggalan sejarah masa kerajaan Aceh. Namun, mereka tak mengetahui pemilik makam kuno tersebut. Karena tak menemukan referensi sejarah yang bisa dipelajari. Kendati ada situs sejarah berupa nisan, tapi tak memiliki kemampuan untuk membaca inskripsi (tulisan) bahasa arab yang terpahat pada nisan.

Karena itulah mereka berharap dengan memberikan informasi tersebut kepada relawan CISAH yang selama ini aktif menggali sumber sejarah kuno, kemudian hasil penelitian tersebut diinformasikan kepada masyarakat luas. Selanjutnya adalah mengupayakan situs tersebut supaya terawat. Diharapkan nantinya hasil temuan tersebut dapat ditindaklanjuti pemerintah untuk terus merawatnya.

Untuk menemukan situs sejarah tersebut relawan CISAH mengadakan meuseuraya (gotong royong). Mereka menggali dua kompleks makam kuno tersebut. Di dua lokasi itu ternyata ditemukan 64 nisan tipologi kerajaan Samudera Pasai yang sudah terbenam. Dari jumlah itu, 29 nisan di antaranya masih memiliki pasangan lengkap. Sedangkan enam nisam lagi belum ditemukan pasangan nisannya.

Semua nisan tersebut terbuat dari batuan beku jenis andesit. Lalu salah satu dari nisan tersebut terdapat sebuah nama wanita dalam bahasa arab. Setelah diteliti epitaf (identitas pemilik makam) oleh ahli epigrafi CISAH nama tersebut , Syarrah Binti Raja Kayan Bin Zainal Abidin Min Bahri AI, tahun 860-an. Lalu dipelajari lagi nama wanita tersebut. Ternyata Putri Raja Borneo Brunei Darussalam, Raja Kayan dari Suku Dayak.

Karena dalam inkripsi bahasa arab tersebut terdapat kalimat “Min Bahri Batang Ai”, itu adalah kalimat yang mempertegas asal tokoh tersebut. Dulu kawasan Min Bahri Batang Ai, termasuk dalam wilayah Malaysia, Brunai Darussalam dan Kalimantan.
