A moderate magnitude earthquake struck on Monday under the Maluku Sea of Indonesia. The level of the Richter scale was 5.9. The US Geological Survey said this. However, no tsunami alert was issued in this natural disaster.
According to the US Department of Earthquake, around 85 kilometers northwest of Quetta Taran, the earthquake hit at around 4:30 in the morning, at a depth of 36.5 kilometers below sea level.
Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said, there is no threat to tsunamis and there was no immediate report of losses.
It is to be noted that in 2004, more than 70,000 people died in Aceh province due to tsunami caused by a powerful earthquake. News AFP
