Oranges are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants that boost the immune system and help fight infections and flu. Oranges contain phytochemicals that fight cancer-causing agents. There are ten magical eating oranges for the body as mentioned by Boldsky, Wednesday (8/11).

1. Relieves Constipation

Citrus is a great antioxidant and immune boosting agent. Contains limonene as a cancer inhibitor. This compound detects cancer cells and destroys them.

4. Protecting the Body from Heart Diseases

The antioxidants present in oranges fight free radical damage and help prevent cholesterol oxidation. Cholesterol oxidization tends to stick to the inside of the arteries and limit the blood supply to the heart and trigger heart attacks. Antioxidants neutralize the effects of these free radicals and protect the heart.

5. Strong Bones

All foods containing calcium should be paired with vitamin D-rich foods to absorb calcium from the diet completely. Oranges have enough vitamin D that guarantees proper and good calcium absorption for bone. Orange also contains ascorbic acid which helps better absorption of calcium.

6. Preventing Kidney Disease

Consumption of orange juice on a regular basis can prevent kidney stones by expelling excess citric in the urine and reduce the acidity. Oranges also help better kidney function by preventing high blood pressure and controlling sugar levels.

Regular consumption of citrus can lower the frequency of asthma attacks. Its anti-inflammatory properties help reduce inflammation of the airways. Orange also neutralizes oxidation damage by free radicals because it can increase inflammation and cause asthma. Flavonoids present in oranges reduce bronchial sensitivity.
