Melon is an annual fruit crop that is included in the family Cucurbitaceae. Melons are from the Persian Basin or Mediterranean region which is the border between West Asia with Europe and Africa. The plant is widespread to Iran, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, India, Spain, China and Japan.
