PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk sends short messages (SMS) to customers.

The short message contains information that the customer's debit card or ATM card can not be used.

"* Dear BRI customer, for transaction security, your ATM card will be disabled immediately replace your card at the nearest BRI branch office (for free), BRI 14017 * Contact Info," the SMS sent to customers on Saturday (24/3) / 2018).

SMS also had a chance to make panic among customers. Not a few of them directly go to the branch office, which eventually branch offices were filled by customers.

Bank coded issuer BBRI said, in order to re-transact with an ATM card, customers can make a card replacement at the nearest BRI branch office, initial office open account, or a special branch office of BRI. Free card replacement alias free of charge.

To change the card, customers simply bring ID cards (residents), passbooks, and debit cards or ATMs.
