GENERATION is often interpreted as a group of people who live simultaneously or in peer times in a period that runs diverse activities in their lives. When a generation has a similar activity in its time then it is called by the generation of the activity, for example at a time a group of peoples whose age is a football player, so they are called football generation, if the activity of fishing for sea is called fisherman generation, if they farm in the field is called the generation of peasants, if they steal simultaneously called the generation of thieves, and if they day and night hang out in the coffee shop, then they are called "coffee shop generation".
The generation of coffee stalls recently emerged in Aceh, especially in the capital city of Banda Aceh. They often spend time in coffee shops with a variety of purposes, ranging from the needs of chatting, business purposes, gambling purposes, sports purposes, and more. Regardless of what they are doing there, the public judges that most of the coffee shop's generation does not perform the prayers when it is time. In fact there are half of them who accidentally enter the coffee shop at 11:00 noon and go home at 02.00 pm without praying Zuhr, Ashar, Maghrib and Isya there, arriving home immediately sleep and wake up at 11.00 noon the next day without Shubuh prayer. This is a generation of coffee shops that are not afraid of God Rabbul 'Izzati.
Double Meaning
Generation of the coffee shop has a double meaning between positive and negative. Generation of coffee shop with positive nuance is the lover of coffee shop that day hanging out there with a concrete and positive purpose also like tying sydaah congratulation Shubuh prayers in mosques, or a group of students who deliberately looking for materials via internet lecture then study group while enjoy drinks and food there. Or part of the business that sits in a coffee shop for the transaction of its business object, or a group of politicians who crawl the cadres to be placed in certain positions within the party or government. Usually the positive generation sat in the coffee shop just a few moments to complete their needs, after their needs are finished they disperse and return to each place, they take into account the time value so as not to waste time for free.
While the generation of negative coffee stalls is a person who nebeng day and night in every coffee shop without any concrete objectives that want and must be done there. This kind of generation tends to potentially be a coffee addict, or a gossip addict, or a lazy addict, or a mock junkie who can someday turn to drug addicts or gambling alerts, or football addicts or anti-worship addicts. Such generations tend to hang around coffee shops to enjoy the different atmosphere and eliminate the traces of the negative generation.
However, for educated people tend to interpret the generation of coffee shop with one dimension only negative dimension. Given the many people hanging out at night in various coffee shops to spend free time there then the general portion of the negative able to conquer the positive portion so that the connotation of the generation of coffee shops become dominant negative. The assumption appears to be bound by the threat of time that never awaits us, so in Arabic perception then it is like a sword (alwaqtu qashshaif) if we fail to use it well and meaningful then that sword will use us so that we can break his neck. In the perception of the people of that time the money (the time is money) so that a minute we are negligent with time then more than a minute we will lose sustenance.
For the Atjeh should be worship (al-waqtul 'ibadah), so no time will pass for an Acehnese but with the passage of time the Acehnese get reward from Allah SWT. Its meaning there is no work and no our words but with work and words we get reward from Allah SWT. If sitting in a stall to connect silaturrahmi then the coffee shop generation get a reward. But if you sit in a coffee shop to gossip and play gambling then the generation will be sinful because the position of time was shifted from worship to jinayah (criminal).

The tradition of coffee at the coffee shop for the people of Aceh is not extraordinary, because the endatu we used to practice it. They often invite their friends to drink at the stall in the morning or evening as a manifestation of the fabric of silaturrahmi. And the ancients often preceded paying him when he had finished eating a drink at the stall so anytime and anyone who invites no problem for them because both love to pay it. Half them from the beginning has been said that after the coffee later he paid, so that invited ngopipun not hesitate to eat kuweh because there is already pay it.
The people of Aceh tempo doeloe coffee in coffee shop in the morning if not to rice fields, sea and mountains to seek sustenance. If you go there, always drink coffee in the afternoon after coming home from work. They sit in a coffee shop for a few minutes just as they eat and drink. They are embarrassed to sit for long in the coffee shop because it interferes with others no seating or shame is considered kamèng keudè (goat shop), a term that connotes negatively to the Acehnese.
So if the tradition of coffee together sung by the generation of coffee shop today with the reason follow the footsteps of the endatu with a negative way, then the product is not relevant to the practice of the endatu that coffee just to realize communication and silaturrahmi each other. Because once was the endatu ngopi not bergenerasi but bersilaturrahmi. But today the opposite is happening that is the coffee generated but not bersilaturrahmi, so often bring negative impressions from the results of such coffee like living prayer, form of slander, many ghibah and sebumpamanya.
In indigenous European life, especially their youths, hanging out at the coffee shop becomes commonplace and not questioned by the nation, because those who do not work there is no other activity apart from spending time there. But for those who have work there is almost no time to nebeng in the coffee shop because of the tight time at work. One thing that contrasts between stalls in Aceh with stalls in Europe is a stall in Aceh is identical to coffee, so called a coffee shop. While the stalls in Europe is synonymous with liquor (wine) so it is not called a coffee shop.
However, the atmosphere of stalls in Aceh with in Europe from the standpoint of time is very different. In Europe the stalls are often filled up on certain days such as Christmas and New Year, but the stalls in Aceh are filled at all times and do not know the time. From a wasteful point of view the Acehnese are the most wasteful of time compared to Europeans. Thus "even ignorant generation" is more in Aceh with in Europe because it allows time to pass. The effect on the development of the nation and the country is also very very big, where the generation of coffee stalls in Aceh that have negative nuances tend not to know expertly and proficiently in a field of science, but only experts and adept in enliven the coffee shop only. While the generation of European stalls tend to have the expertise because it does not waste time for free in the coffee shop.
About the endatu first also not neglect with the coffee shop, so they are not labeled as a generation of coffee shops, but the generation of today is a lot of neglectful, fun, delicious and in a coffee shop so qualified to be held "coffee shop generation". However, the habit of hanging out and nebeng spends no time in the coffee shop without obtaining knowledge and rewards into one big challenge to the future generation of the nation, as predicted that the generation of coffee shop will lead the country and the nation of a time. What will happen if those who will lead this country and nation will be?
