Today, I came up with a 3rd batch of eSteem gamification badge recommendations, based on discussions with @good-karma and the Steem community. This batch will reward users based on the amount of their contents' author rewards, upon payout:
These badges can be awarded multiple times, with the highest possible badge to be awarded for each content. Here are the descriptions of each:
$10 Author Reward
Awarded to users for acquiring at least $10 worth of author rewards, upon payout.$100 Author Reward
Awarded to users for acquiring at least $100 worth of author rewards, upon payout.$1000 Author Reward
Awarded to users for acquiring at least $1000 worth of author rewards, upon payout.

nice, though I think it would be good to have different design, instead of just the same coin shape.
10$ -> coin
100$ -> "gold" bar, or maybe stack of coins.
1000$ -> steemit branded diamond XD
But if the goal is to have consistent design for the same kind of badge, then your proposition is better.
But add some sparkles to the higher tier badges XP

Or maybe have the "stack of coin" be for accumulating the same kind of money badge.
So if you've earned 10$ once, you have a 10$ coin in your badge page, with a progress counter till the next "accumulation badge", which is basicly a badge representing when you've had X badges of a specific type.
Ex: Once you have 3 unique 10$ badges, on your badge page you'll see a stack of 3 bronze coins.

I like the idea that higher tier badges should have more sparkles. I guess we can add more tiers to accomodate that.
