Is Decentralization Really Decentralization?

Today's #crypto-news is a big bag of Bitcoin mixed with a lighter load of EOS and topped with some crypto exchange confetti. I hope you like it. Join the party.

Crypto News

You've likely heard that #Coinbase opened an office in Chicago, but do you know why? Someone does.

#Nasdaq announced they are now backing Bitcoin, #Litecoin, and #Stellar because those three coins are most likely to survive. But that makes me wonder what's wrong with Ethereum and Ripple.

EOS spent a year executing a crowdsale and raised $4 billion. On top of that, major exchanges like #Binance and #Bitfinex add support for the EOS #token swap.

Meanwhile, #OKEx overtook Binance as the leading crypto exchange by snagging 15.7% of the market.

Crypto Analysis

If you like the #news, you'll love the analysis. To start with, the top read for the day is 7 myths about Ethereum decentralization. And did you know the average #ICO investor makes 82% profit?

The U.S. cryptocurrency market is getting more competitive for exchanges, but I'm not sure what that means. I thought it was already fairly competitive. But the good news is this, the crypto markets experienced a slight rebound yesterday and today.

And you don't want to miss this happy trio of Bitcoin analyses:

There's plenty more crypto news and analysis where that came from at Blockchain Times.

Personally, I feel that true decentralization is years away from today. Although we have the ability to develop decentralized systems, regulation and society has not caught on yet.
Think about it, we have a decentralized currency, however, most people only trust to buy from coinbase. Coinbase has become the new middle man/source.

I agree. True decentralization is a system that has not yet been trusted. There have been experiments, but regular people don't know what to do with it.
