Ethereum Classic (ETC) forks over the Ethereum main chain (ETH) by maintaining the original blockchain. Major exchanges adopt ETC, f2pool announces integration, while transactions reach both networks!

If you had ETH on Poloniex, they transferred your ETH from the old chain to the new one.
If you kept your ETH off the exchange in you wallet, I guess you can enter your ETH on both blockchains?
Does that mean Poloniex kept the old ETH's(classic chain ETH's(ETC)), and now trading the ETC's. If there trading ETC, everyone they transferred should have both in there Poloniex account. I didn't receive both, are the ETC gone? or does the exchange kept them. Does it work like that even?
p.s. Super bumbed about the DAO, hope to see DAO 2.0 . I didn't really care about the investment part of it, I wanted to use the Ethereum computer, make 3D printed stuff to be used with the slots within the DAO.
