This is the first message from BTC-e in the last 24 hours after the exchange went offline on Tuesday, July 25th. The impossibility of access to the BTC-e site was then explained by unscheduled technical work.
However, as it became known later, on the same day in Greece, at the request of the US authorities, the alleged co-owner of the exchange Alexander Vinnik was arrested. A 38-year-old Russian is accused of involvement in a criminal group that has laundered more than $ 4 billion through bitcoin since 2011.
