Reduce Food Waste with DataBroker Dao

I try my best to never waste food. You should too. It's ethical and is a good way to appreciate what we have. Companies are trying not to waste resources also. For food companies saving food isn't about being ethical because that's what makes them money. Food producers try their best to make sure food doesn't get wasted during transportation. It has been difficult to make sure food conditions stay good during transportation because there hasn't been any way to cheaply and properly keep track of the conditions the food is in.

IoT technology is changing this because companies can just send sensors with the food. These sensors keep track of the temperature and environment the food is in so if anything goes wrong, the people in charge of delivery will know. The sensors connect to the internet of things and can communicate with each other to detect food conditions. If anything goes wrong the sensors can signal a device that the transporter has. The sensors do not start out as perfect because different foods need different conditions. Eventually the sensors are able to store enough data that they learn how to best deal with each food type.

How to use IoT to Reduce Food Waste?

Companies have to wait for sensors to become smart enough till they can detect the perfect environment for every food type. It takes a lot of time to get this data independently. DataBroker Dao is solving this problem. Different companies already have the sensor data needed to make sensors know the perfect environment for specific food. Instead of each company itself waiting to get the data for each type of food, the companies can sell the data they have to each other. All food producers will be able to easily use DataBroker Dao's decentralized IoT sensor data marketplace to get the data they need to make their sensors learn how to deal with any food.

DataBroker Dao will let food companies quickly get access to important IoT sensor data and will let them save food from rotting in transport. Less food will go to waste and companies will save money. Woho!

This is an interesting use case for IoT devices. I like it! Incorporating data from other companies is win-win for everyone in this scenario.

Yes, it took me some time to figure out unique uses. It'd be very useful in lowering food waste.
