Hello everyone :) any idea when ETC will publish its new Emerald project? The price is expected to surge dramatically when it does according to various YouTubers I am following.
For the people that have never heard about the Emerald project, I am providing you a very brief summary below.
The Emerald project provides a platform for decentralized applications (dapps) to be developed on the Ethereum Classic blockchain (similarly to what has been happening lately with Ethereum). According to the ETC developement team the main problem the Emerald Project will solve is "that there’s currently no common framework for developers to build dApps on Ethereum Classic, a lack of User Interface (UI) components, and no standard practices for 3rd party developers" (ETCDEV, 2017)
Among these dapps, there will be the Emerald Wallet, which is a wallet app where users will be able to store their ETC and do much more. The Emerald wallet will be the first wallet for the Ethereum Classic community that verifies transactions for users in a trustless way.
Thereby it is quite clear why the price of ETC should rise very quickly after the announcement. They will be offering an alternative platform to Ethereum, and ETC tokens are still very cheap (20 USD vis a vis 350 USD for ETH)
