Once upon a time in a not-so-far galaxy, meaning our galaxy, Vyacheslav Poskonin, Anna Smith and Vadim Alekseev met for a brainstorm. The storm became so wild that the guys received a message from a new and distant galaxy of unicorns. The beautiful blockchain creatures wished to come to a new world to meet us. The project co-founders almost instantly started a special operation to connect the two realities. Vadim Alekseev remembers that day: "The UnicornGo project was born on 5th December, 2017, at noon. We started recruiting the team and created a dedicated Telegram chat. There were three of us, and we brainstormed the idea of magic unicorn world".
First, the guys did all the things by themselves, and a few days later other people began joining the project. If you follow the right way, right people come to you. It was clear they could pursue ambitions goals and plan the launch of the game by the beginning of March 2018. The team began to grow…

Who joined the project?

First of all, we got a business angel, Alexander Borodich. His words are worth noting: "The guys managed to convince me in less than half an hour that the project would be successful. It is a rare case where an experienced team enters the market with a competitive product, clean scheme and a clear understanding of the market conditions. Furthermore, the guys are able to not only dream but make the wildest dreams possible. I’m sure UnicornGO is bound to succeed!"

To realize the wild ideas, that is, the planned game play, partner companies have been engaged. They are IZITEX (IZX.io project) which will deal with virtual reality, and Basis Neuro platform. The latter will make it possible to control unicorns by the mind power thanks to neuro interfaces.

The guys have employed graduates of the blockchain programming school which has been operating for a long time to date. The school is lead by Vyacheslav Poskonin. "Our students have showed much enthusiasm. According to my personal experience, it is the projects that are lead by enthusiasm and personal belief that have success", Vyacheslav says.
As soon as the team became big and some issues were clear, a yet another question arose: how the features should be launched and where to raise funds for project development?

Where did you find investors for the project?

We decided to divide the project by two phases.
The core investors made the basic investments needed for 1st stage of the project.

For the second phase, further development of the game play, the team has raised funds by presale of the in-game currency, CandyCoins. The total supply of CandyCoins is limited by 12 million. It is these coins that players will need during the 2nd phase to alter their unicorns, upgrade them, breed, teach them and much more.

For now, we don’t plan to conduct an ICO. The presale was successful, and obviously we won’t need another round of fundraising.

We already have our first planet, our Sacred Tree and… – please don’t tell anybody – we’ve got the GEN0 unicorns! They will be different: slender and fat, muscular and lank. Speaking about the technical side of the project:
We’ve completed auditing all of our smart-contracts.
We are done with back-end programming and brought all the features together. In other words, we are ready. Welcome to the magic world!

It usually takes 6+ months to complete such a project. Development, tests, localization… How is it possible that we have completed all the tasks at such a lightning speed? The reason is simple: we do love our project and love our job!
