In a recent tweet, Vitalik Buterin posted a screenshot of a Google email with a job offer for him. He posted the email along with a follow up tweet that had a poll asking his followers whether he should accept Google's offer.
In his original tweet, Vitalik could not hide the name, email address or profile picture of the recruiter. It was a short message, and a part of it was broken in the image he posted. He said:
"I hope you're doing well and enjoying the weekend!" He continued, "Google makes sense to you now or in the near future."
The survey received more than 2,000 votes, with more than 50% saying he should not accept the job. However, just over 40% of them felt they should abandon the Ethereum and work for Google. A few hours later, Buterin decided to delete the tweet, probably because he could not censor the recruiter's information.
It is highly unlikely Vitalik to drop everything he has achieved with Ethereum and work for Google. Vitalik is seen as the face of Ethereum and his exit would have an immediate impact on the price of Ethereum.
Vitalik Buterin has been working hard over the last few months with important updates to Ethereum, such as the implementation of the Participation Proofing Protocol (PoS), Casper and Sharding. He is also a champion of blockchain and crypto-coins when making appearances and lectures at various international events.
Google, on the other hand, totally banned crypto and ICO ads on its search engine in March this year. However, in the same month, it was revealed that Google was working on its own blockchain product: a distributed digital book that third parties can use to post and verify transactions. Google may be interested in hiring Vitalik for this project, or even an unannounced one. Some do not know, but Google is also an investor in several blockchain companies, such as Ripple, LedgerX and Veem.
not sure if bomb was the right word but yeah just goes to show you google and facebook are both developing their own crypto
