This weekend I read a book called “stop making excuse and start running”; written by Nicole Antoinette. In the first page of the book he stated;
“How do I find the motivation to start running?” “How do I stay motivated when things get tough or boring?” “What do I do when my initial excitement for running fades?” “How do I pull myself out of a motivation rut?”
When he gives justification why we need to stay motivated in our day to day life, in contrary explained “Lack of motivation” is just an excuse. You’re not low on motivation, because you aren’t built with a motivational gas tank that needs to be full to keep you going. He added when we say, “I’m just not motivated to run,” what we’re really saying is, “I’m overwhelmed and don’t know where to start” or “I’m too lazy to make the changes and do the hard work” or “I’m afraid I’ll fail.”
In this regards, he created a seven step system to help you get beyond the idea of motivation and finally understand what you need to do to move forward with your running goals (or any big goal, really).
These seven steps; building blocks for success will help you identify what your goals are and discover how to commit to them in a lasting and meaningful way that gets you the results that you want and deserve. If you are interested with this topic, please up vote, comment and follow me @abrish, I will make you read each of these seven steps in my next posts. Thank you for having time to read, up vote, comment and follow me.
