Plane Spotting: Formation Flight / Flugzeugbeobachtung: Formationsflug

In mid-October there was a lot on offer at the airfield Zell near Neuburg! On October 15, the number of flight movements was so numerous that an entire record of it would go beyond the scope here. In three articles, however, I will review the highlights and take you on a photo tour on the fence of the site.

At 15:39 a lone Eurofighter with the identification 30 + 63 came in as the first of the afternoon round and landed completely unspectacular. My picture sequence shows the gliding flight to the runway up to the fence border of the airport.

Mitte Oktober war auf dem Flugplatz Zell bei Neuburg einiges geboten! Am 15. Oktober waren die Flugbewegungen so zahlreich, dass eine gesamte Aufzeichnung davon den Rahmen hier sprengen würde. In drei Artikeln werde ich jedoch die Höhepunkte revue passieren lassen und euch auf eine Fototour am Zaun des Geländes mitnehmen.

Um 15:39 kam als erster der Nachmittagsrunde ein einsamer Eurofighter mit der Kennung 30+63 hereingeflogen und landete völlig unspektakulär. Meine Bilderfolge zeigt den Gleitflug zur Landebahn bis zur Zaungrenze des Flugpatzes.

At 15:55 three more Eurofighters appeared high up. This time in formation and in the typical maneuver of the overflight with subsequent dissolution of the formation. Every few seconds, a plane folds away to the side and gets ready for landing. Since they are still traveling in the direction of the landing, the distance is about 25 seconds, so enough space for the landings. After folding away, they make a big bow and then fly back parallel to the runway to finally take the final turn towards the airfield.

Um 15:55 tauchten dann hoch oben drei weitere Eurofighter auf. Diesmal in Formation und im typischen Manöver des Überfluges mit anschließender Auflösung der Formation. Dabei klappt alle paar Sekunden ein Flieger seitlich weg und macht sich bereit für die Landung. Da sie noch in Flugrichtung der Landung unterwegs sind wird der Abstand somit etwa 25 Sekunden, also genug Raum für die Landungen. Nach dem Wegklappen machen sie einen großen Bogen und fliegen dann parallel zur Landebahn wieder zurück um schließlich die endgültige Kehre in Richtung Flugplatz zu nehmen.
