What do you do with your Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 when you move from France to the US?
The answer is way more easy than it seems. You don´t have to cut it into two pieces and weld it back together like they do it in Australia. You can just import and register it under the Show and Display rule. Okay, okay, there is still quite some paperwork to do but at least you can import and legally register your car. Which is - if the car is not 25 years or more old - literally not possible. Usually imported cars can not get registered because there are no compliance tests for the United States Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) but this and q few other cars that I will show you in a bit, are granted an exemption because they follow the following rules:
- The historical or technological significance of the car in question must have been proven.
- The vehicle was produced in limited numbers (<500).
- You shouldn´t plan to drive it more than 2,000 miles anually.
Besides this old small but fun car there are a few other interesing cars that have gained the right to be imported unter the Show and Display rule:

The monster Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6
