You might go "picking". Sometimes folks throw out lamps or small appliances. Sometimes they can be easily fixed. I have picked up lamps and rewired them to sell at my yard sales for five or ten dollars
Another side job could be metal scrapping. People always throw out small appliances, tvs, large appliances, etc. local scrap yards will pay based on the steel, aluminum or brass in the items. Sometimes the scrap yard will pay for intact motors. Do research on YouTube. It is sometimes dangerous breaking down older tvs.
You may be able to hit up yard sales or Craigslist for items to sell on EBay or Amazon.
It would be great if you put together some of your "treasures" to share with us! I love going "picking"... hubby not so much. lol
Never know whatcha gonna find!

Definitely something I will do in future. Some items that are left are in storage. That lamp is one of a pair someone had thrown out. We just added the shades. They didn't even need to be rewired!
