Facebook will soon launch a new feature that will verify your identity and help you open your account if you forget your password.
TechCrunch said on Monday that the networking giant is currently testing face recognition on a "limited number" of users.
A spokesman for Facebook said: "We are currently testing the new property on people who want to quickly and easily confirm their possession of the account," stressing that it is optional and not mandatory.
Facebook will scan the face of the user in front of the computer and compare it with the images and videos in the account.
Face recognition will be a substitute for other ways Facebook can be used by users such as SMS or email.
The move comes from Facebook, days after Apple announced the introduction of Face Recognition on its new iPhone X phone.
