Facebook is looking into Cryptocurrency this would create INSTANT MASS ADOPTION

Mark Zuckerberg and the facebook team will be looking into incorporating cryptocurrency and encryption into facebook:

"...one of the most interesting questions in technology right now is about centralization vs decentralization. A lot of us got into technology because we believe it can be a decentralizing force that puts more power in people's hands. (The first four words of Facebook's mission have always been "give people the power".) Back in the 1990s and 2000s, most people believed technology would be a decentralizing force.

But today, many people have lost faith in that promise. With the rise of a small number of big tech companies — and governments using technology to watch their citizens — many people now believe technology only centralizes power rather than decentralizes it.

There are important counter-trends to this --like encryption and cryptocurrency -- that take power from centralized systems and put it back into people's hands. But they come with the risk of being harder to control. I'm interested to go deeper and study the positive and negative aspects of these technologies, and how best to use them in our services."

If they do integrate cryptocurrency, hopefully, they will find the magic of Steem! Wait a minute.. what if they USE STEEM!! Wow. I doubt it. I think they would more than likely create their own cryptocurrency with some big name folks in the industry.

This could be a way for Facebook to catch up with Asia's booming social space. Facebook has been lagging behind Asia rivals (Alibaba and WeChat) in payments. This would be instant mass adoption

This is for sure Fake News - any time he ever said he was doing things to make Facebook better he meant only for him, Facebook Inc and the govts that use it for surveillance...

Real news. By "fake news" you mean a promise he won't keep. I think they will do it. It will be a huge benefit to Facebook if they create their own currency and hold like 2/3s of it. YouNow Inc just created their own cryptocurrency (PROPS) and Kik (a Canadian social app) created one as well. Vice Media (creators of viceland) is working on one that is based on Steem. Google VC has invested in a couple of cryptocurrencies as has Microsoft. I don't see why they wouldn't for their own finanical game.

By Fake News I mean Facebook won't be "fixed" - unless you mean fixed as in a race where the winner is predetermined.
