Flying mammals

Did you know?

Bats are the only mammals that can fly.

Pretty interesting that mammals usually can't fly. The type of animals that are flying are always animals that are laying eggs.

It is sure worth to take a look where evolution placed the bats. They were probably living on the ground at first and developed some sort of wings to jump between trees. They startet to jump farther and farther and finally they learned to fly.

There are always some exceptions in nature and it seems like the bats are one of them.

Bats can't even see in the dark with their eyes. They use soundwaves to navigate between trees and other obstacles. Dolphins are know to use the same - but they are pretty much exceptions again.

Even some blind people evolved a skill to "see" with soundwaves. Awesome right?

I hope you liked this fact as much as I did!
