Geckos are the only species of lizard that has vocal ropes, therefore they emit sounds, even have a specific sound when they are in danger or to alert their companions. Most of these species are nocturnal and have the ability to see their prey very clearly. They feed on crickets, grasshoppers, mosquitoes, cockroaches and larvae.
