You see, we Muslims believe in all the prophets and messengers, including Jesus and Moses.

But here is where we differ: We believe that Jesus was only a prophet, nothing more. He was not the Son of God, nor was he crucified. We believe that God, the only God, was not born and does not give birth to anyone or anything.

Allow me to briefly explain: Jesus, peace be upon him, was never crucified. Instead, one of his companions volunteered to be his "look-alike", so to speak. So God changed that companion's appearance, so that he was a replica of Jesus. That companion was killed, and not Jesus. Jesus ascended to the Heavens.
