It's difficult to stop paying and leave the system completely because it's very well assembled although it's falling apart, however every time we see more people realizing how deceived we have been and as I always say, we have to be careful, here in Spain anarchy already passed through the way of leaving conventions for trying to win the war and both were lost. I am starting to think I dislike any "ism" and prefer ion as in cooperation.
Imagine a blockchain ledger for world trade, one where goods are traded for goods on this open ledger, where money does not exist.
One where no parties can disagree after as it is all in plain sight on the block for all to see, gone in an instant are sanctions via the $ and peace will be restored to trade for the free. (free of silly money too.)

While the U.S. is somewhat Socialistic, we live in Capitalistic Plutocracy. There is a pecking order oligarchs and lesser oligarchs and innovators that may very well be eventually backed by someone with more Capital. Elements of Technocracy are being phased in to better control us. The Socialism we have serves two basic functions, first it funnels money to the Corporations second, other money goes to placate the poor and unfortunately the minorities who can't or won't help themselves.
The whole Socialism scam as it is in the U.S. is a dialectic distraction distracting from the other things I mentioned. Don't worry about it. It's a dead end. AOC may be popular but, like the minimum wage hikes, her policies are self defeating. A McWorker may make $2 more per hour but, Each meal, at least at breakfast is $2 dollars more. The difference between the new wages and new prices may translate into higher profits depending on wholesale.
imo, we have two basic extremes, Capitalism and Communism. Capitalism will turn into what we have now, freedom and ignorance. Communism is slavery under the cloak of equality.
Socialism is a different animal. Nationalization for the redistribution of wealth always collapses. It's basically an opiate.
What would work, is the third way. It's known as National Socialism or Social Nationalism and sometimes Fascism. Third Position or Third Way is actually Communal while Communism is not. Jim Marrs(a complete government man) went around telling people Fascism was Corporatism and it is. What Marrs described is the Plutocracy. True Third Way Corporatism, Fascism, etc. is cooperation of all stakeholders in the form of a corporation or corpus to provide maximum equity and quality of life to everyone involved. There would also be a general safety net and genuine social programs as opposed to writing off losses on stock market speculation.
If you want to strike at the heart of the beast, that is the basic structure. The thing with NatSoc et. al. is we need to adapt it to each country. Hence National Socialism

you speak of NatSoc not being voluntary but there is something to say about working together as a nation. In contrast to voluntary, in gives a better target. Patriarchy is the natural family state. I believe in building out a nation from there.

Touche and all but, no centralization or anarchy or extreme libertarianism is too unwieldy. Yes NatSoc is unsavory to most people but the victors wrote the history. I am not advocating a violent purge of any groups. I am advocating reworking a system that is a middle way between the two real world extremes.
I may never see it but I do not think you will see your system either if we're being realistic. We both have huge obstacles to do anything. We would be lucky to but achieve much more than respective "communes."

My observation on Communism and Anarchism is that while in actuality the Commies ruled with an Iron Fist, they did so bc they were more or less training and regimenting people for the State to wither away. It may have but, it would have been done through Black Market Rackets.
IDK, that book you linked to seemed somewhat too positive, too positive in a way that makes me think it's a come on and more or less propagandizing through unworkable ideals.
It's not an anarchy book but it might be an analogy. Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" is a great piece of propaganda in that most people don't realize it's a come on. Then all of a sudden, people are reading Von Mises et. al. and smitten with Libertarianism. Rand stokes the ego of people who are somewhat above average but not versed in propaganda.
