I eat frogs the edible type (not the warty toads), I can catch them and handle them like they are just ordinary fish. They are really tasty especially if fried. That is just how far I had some exotic foods but a snake or a rat or even maybe a possum or any vermin out there I really cannot eat those.

But I did had some dog meat in the past, I had a very not well cooked dog dish and I gagged and nearly vomited. It really depends on how you cook the dog meat but a well cooked (parboiled in a lot of ginger and seasonings) is a very delicious (tastier than pork) kind of dish that you can even eat with rice or bread for that matter.

Well you cannot blame me for eating dog though as I live in a country that had a tradition to eat it especially if most of your friends are eating it then why can't you? But as of the moment I won't be having some even though you give me some and even though it is well cooked.

The Grandfather connection

I remember my father telling me the story of my grandfather just cooking four dogs in just Tamarind leaves and salt and that is it. He and his friends will just eat it as it is among themselves with some hard liquor and beer.

My grandfather was a war veteran and also has a history of ambushing Japanese troops as well as anyone going their way if no Japanese troops are going by just to rob them as my father had told me. My grandfather really had lived a badass life and even rumored to have fathered our former Town mayor I had confirmed it after listening to the story of our relative who had been with him when my grandfather was visiting the woman (the mother of the former town mayor).

He told us that they were crossing the river with their rifles above their heads during war time, my grandfather would throw a stone somewhere in the bush and then the woman (the mother of the former provincial governor) would emerge, that was their way to meet. It is just interesting to know about it that is why my grandfather's face looks like our former town Mayor.

I miss him even though he is just more kind to other people and being an irresponsible father to his family. Grandfather died tragically in flood in the early 90's and his body was never found.

That's an interesting story, even though I love dogs and would hate to eat one.
