Several weeks ago o passed along the information and my anger of a lawyer in Ontario working for a Child Services office that argued that Children as young as 14 were able to be sexually in charge.
The case was about a foster parent who raped a 14 yr old foster child under his care.
The Child is now an adult and suing the man, and the Child Services office that made her stay there even after.
The lawyer put in an affidavit that she was old enough to have concerned to it. Which is in itself is disgusting.
But he also argued that she was old enough... that all 14 he olds are old enough.
Another lawyer in the article I’ve been following pointed out that what a lawyer says is also taken as what the agency believes; ergo there’s a Child Services agency out there that thinks kids under their care can have sex with foster parents.
So so wrong.
So so fired.
That’s the update. The lawyer has been fired from the agency.
It doesn’t mean that he’s out of work, he will have more clients and will survive the publicity because... like it or not, slimy lawyers have slimy clients that seek them out.
My thoughts on the case... the Child Services agency involved should lose their license and just settle with the victim.
Their affidavit is already on record.
