POEM/ CHILDREN AS PAWN @familyprotection

The gory stories I hear rent my mind,
Of the tale of forceful severance and pain,
The warmth of the family for the children they truncate,
Leaving the children rudderless with future almost bleak.

The height of this turpitude we need to halt,
To an injury they blatantly wish to add salt,
The government a tacit collaborator to the heinous acts,
It singes my heart as this festers.

A day rarely passes by without the sordid tell-tale,
Far-flung are their actions without let,
We watch in despondency as they continually perpetuate,
A virile opposition it requires to obliterate,
Please, Lend your voice for a stop today,
It could be you even within a day,
As they maraud around like scavengers,
The gratification of their interest they prioritise,
As our children turn to pawn while it is dawn.

A voice that must be heard we strain,
The discomfort we will sacrifice till we tilt the scale,
The future of the children we must strain to save,
Moribund we advocate for the CPS.
