A teenage girl was apprehended at the library today

Today I seen a young girl in CFS get chased down and cornered in the library. She was a run away from Marymound. She has been in care for much of her life. Marymound is a lock up facility for high risk girls. Growing up Marymound is like growing up in prison. Most doors in Marymound are locked. You cannot eat freely as you can only eat when it's scheduled. You cannot move freely through the facility. It is a jail for girls that have commit no crime to get there.

The girl the was apprehended at the library was not involved in the sex trade or the drug trade. She was not a criminal. She was a victim of a shitty system that is corrupt and damaging to those that it is to protect. She was put into this prison after running away from foster homes to many times. She was a nice girl and not involved in gangs and yet she was put into a place that left her with a longing for freedom as she was not free. I last seen her in the back of a police car and she is probably going to the youth center which is similar to Marymound.

I will dig further into Marymound and those that have been in there as it is a corrupt facility that is damaging to the quality of life of the girls placed in there.
