“Nope To The Pope” – Protesting Institutionalised Catholic Child Abuse in Ireland this Weekend!

Have you heard about “Nope To The Pope?”

It is great to see many Irish, especially the younger generations standing up to the centuries of Catholic domination over their country’s spirituality, especially due to the revelations of corruption and child abuse.

This weekend on Saturday 25th August, there will be demonstrations all around Ireland. In addition, members of the group have been getting hold of as many of the free tickets available for the papal blessing as possible.

Then they are just going to not turn up and waste the seat.

There have been horrendous child abuse situations due to the machinations of the Catholic Church in Ireland, from the paedophile actions of some of the priests, through to mass child graves found at some of the Catholic run children’s homes.

In fact, one of the heart-wrenching aspects of this demonstration will be 796 pairs of baby shoes being delivered to the church, each representing a baby or child that never made it to adulthood as part of the abuse.

One of the demonstrations is being organised by my friend, Maggie and you can hear her speaking on this radio show (go to the Monday 20th August episode at about 33 minutes in and she speaks for about seven minutes).

It’s important to note that the Irish have a strong history of standing up to abuse and then the world following them. They were early in having mass protests about Apartheid in South Africa and there is currently a big movement against Zionist settlement of Palestine as well.

It would be great if this sparked a bigger international condemnation of the actions of these elements of the Catholic church and perhaps even against institutional child abuse on a wider scale.

Perhaps this is the end of “infalliability?”

I wish them a successful weekend of peaceful and effective demonstrations. If you are in Ireland, check out the information and find a demo near you.

And, also, this seems like a great opportunity to share this excellent video by the comedian Trevor Moore (freely available on Youtube and obviously not my work) –

I will donate 100% of liquid rewards from this post to @familyprotection.

Donating is a nice thing to do @eftnow and this posts speaks of what kind of person you are. The baby shoes is a sobering image indeed. It is about time the church took responsibility for its complacency and outright protection of it's own, even though they were fkn child abusers. Blood boils.

The highest ranking Australian cardinal refused to return to Australia to answer to the royal commission into institutional child abuse, the Pope could have sent him, but chose to shield him in the Vatican. He now faces charges and a protracted case in which all of their secrets will eventually die with him.
The Australian people sent survivors to the Vatican and started the loud fence movement.
The Catholic Church are now inviting the faithful to fund his defence. https://www.theherald.com.au/story/5590380/cardinal-pell-supporters-asked-to-donate-to-legal-fund/

I mentioned the case some time back.

Well done Ireland. I'm so proud.
