Same Sex foster Parents - Redefining Motherhood??? - Enjoy with Troy!

I stumbled on this extensive article today in the Sunday Des Moines Register (yesterday) while having lunch. This is about a same sex foster family that have fostered over 20 children over the years, although neither one has ever birthed children. Columnist Courtney Crowder interviews this couple in depth. They feel that families today are less like trees and more compared to a bush with all the complications. Mother's Day is particularly awkward for them. They think this holiday should be redefined, concentrating less on the June Cleaver Image and more on relationships in all forms. The article does talk about going to the judge to adopt and address what a mother is with their daily responsibilities.

Full Story

This was a VERY long article comprising three FULL pages of newspaper print. The new images I have included here are only a small portion. For those who wish to read it in entirety, the link to the full story is Here, though I wish I could offer you the newspaper print.

Loss of words

Not often am I at a loss of words, but I do not know how to respond. You all know I have traditional beliefs when it comes to family. I wonder why the columnist chose to feature this couple. I often think we are being conditioned to acceptance through the media. In a way I look at this as evidence of the break down of the family and its fabric. I have met one other person here in my town who has taken on over 25 children during a span of two decades. It saddens my heart to know these young innocent souls are not being raised with their real parents. This is indeed a different world than it was 30 years ago.

This is a different perspective and I offer it for your review. I am glad thought there are pro-family groups like @familyprotection who work tirelessly to protect families and children. Perhaps because of them, Mother's Day may not be as awkward for some. They lovingly reunite families through justice and preserve freedom. I would encourage you to support @familyprotection in their efforts to defend the family.
