Hello FP Community,
First and foremost I would love to say that I have no partnership with any dev team, neither am I acting as a sponsor to any steem dapp out there including the one I will be introducing to the FP community within this post. I am only making this post and introducing this steem frontend because I "believe" it would be important to many of us who make donations from the posts we make towards our common course. Having said this, I shall begin.
Having Trouble Checking Your Post And Making Donation Based On Calculations?
There are some of us who make donations as their spirit leads(not fixed), some donate based on percentages, while others at a fixed sbd/steem basis. While looking through the FP wallet transfer page about a month ago, I have seen transfer memos like " 0.3*13=3.9sbd/stm" or whatever form it maybe. For some people, it might be extra work trying to know how much was paid out in your previous post and then making a percentage or a non-percentage transfer. This could be a pain when you have to send via wallet every now and then.
This is where steempeak.com front end comes in!. I know there might be others who are already familiar with this frontend app, but I just knew about it 4 days ago from a comment during the Hf-20 discussion.
How It Works?
Almost everyone knows about d.tube and esteem app. This apps makes use of a beneficiary system, for example, d.tube previously automatically charge 25% of your earnings for taking care of cost and other things while esteem charges 10% of your reward. This is done automatically on payout, the rewards are split as soon as the post payouts. I heard from someone that you can choose beneficiary to your post using the backend system if you are proficient with it.
But with steempeak.com, you don't have any need for those technical skills. What makes steempeak really good in my opinion, is that you have an option to choose the percentage of your payout you want to donate to the FP initiative without a sweat. When you make a post, there is a button to enable this functionality and then you can choose who you want to split your reward with;
Clicking the ADD BENEFICIARY button, you would be able to add @familyprotection as a beneficiary. Below is another image showing what the button displays, I already added the FP account to tryout 20%.
After you click post, without any further action from you, 20% of your total earnings would be sent to @familyprotection. So that is how it works, although you have to keep in mind that 25% of your post goes to Curators, and in the case of the image I shared, 20% will go to @familyprotection, so in this scenario, I believe my account would get 55% payout.
What I Don't Know Yet
I tried clarifying how this splitting works, would @familyprotection get both liquid and un-liquid portion? I won't have bothered too much about this question since sbd is almost completely "stable" now with this new hardfork, but why I am concerned is because the FP account although powers up in form of steem power but do need liquid token sometime so as to invest in the community's other portfolio aside steem. I will get back to the community on this via an update.
The Additional Good Side To It
Aside the extra work of manual calculations, manual transfers, manual tracking of your payouts, one other good thing about this method is all about fulfilling a PLEDGE.
Using the Beneficiary system helps you fulfill your pledge easily, I am not saying you have to use this feature all the time, nor am I inferring that you Must contribute to the cause tokenishly(Your post themselves are already priceless contribution to the cause!), all I am saying is that, using this system would make it easy to help the cause. It would be more like "I already pledged to donate 30% of my total payout to FP cause before posting". It makes it easier to fulfill such a pledge, since situations that might arise later on won't change the pledged you already took, for you already hard-coded it.
Keep In Mind
So, if you decide to use this method, use the value you are very comfortable with and that you are wholeheartedly ok with. Just keep in mind, that what ever percentage you choose to use on a post, It is the percentage of the Entire Payout(both liquid and un-liquid) and not just the sbd portion.
Is That All To SteamPeak?
Like I said, this post isn't written to advertise steempeak. Are there other features to steampeak? Yes there are, but all that concerns me within the scope of this post is their "Beneficiary" functionality. I hope you find that useful, just as I think it is useful, I will be using it at once even on this very post to automatically make donation to the FP community. I believe this functionality would be part of the long-awaited Community Feature sets.

Thanks for this information @kryptocoin
I guess that we'll find out in a week if the donation percentage of from only the liquid rewards or the whole post.

Yes, it still sort of an experiment for me, before now I never knew something of such existed, but I would understand how it all works as soon as the post pays out.
Or as soon as one of the dev replies the inquiry I left with him 3hrs ago.
Will update the community when any of the above happens.

Hello,
First, I would want to thank you for the exceptional work you do. I am still trying to figure out the exact division rule the functionality uses.
Could you please help me with your discord handle?. I think I messaged the wrong person.
Thank you so much and your frontend would be very useful for many steemians and communities. Thank you so much
