As an Eastern European I thought I'd never see this day – Westerners seeking refuge in countries of the former communist bloc. The reason? Protecting their families from abusive child protective services in their own countries.
I was reading the other day a story by @anouk.nox, a Dutch national living in Hungary for the moment. Hers is by no means an isolated story. Other Westerners have found refuge in Poland, a Catholic country where the idea of family has more meaning than in Northern Europe.
Norwegian mother Silje Garmo is the first to actually request asylum in Poland on the grounds that her family risks being torn apart by the infamous Norwegian CPS, Barnevernet. She has fled to Poland last year with her newborn second child as Barnevernet was trying to take her baby away.

Her story is similar to many others. Norwegian CPS became involved following baseless accusations from the father of her eldest daughter. Pain-killers abuse and a 'chaotic lifestyle' were the main accusations. Several tests done during her second pregnancy did not reveal any substance abuse, as for the 'chaotic lifestyle', that is so vague an accusation that it cannot be proved or disproved.
Her eldest daughter, aged 12, has been taken away by Barnevernet, nonetheless. She decided to flee the country after the birth of the second child. As she explained in an interview for Polish media, she found herself in a maternity ward, where she had been placed by social services 'for observation'. The way she describes what went on in that place is truly shocking:
“Many women were placed there and made to take drugs to dull their senses, so that they agree to such treatment, of taking their baby. When they refused to take medication, they were forced to be injected!”
A Norwegian citizen asking for asylum in a former communist country is unheard of. The official that took in her request was so shocked he had to ask her several times whether she was not from Chechnya. Her request, filed in September 2017, was endorsed by the Authority for Foreigners, which concluded that Silje Garmo's human rights were not respected in Norway and her family was at risk. It is now up to the Polish Foreign Ministry to grant her asylum status, a decision being expected later this month.
According to Ordo Iuris, a Polish pro-life pro-family organization, which has been advising Garmo, several other Norwegian families are eagerly awaiting the decision in this case. If Garmo is granted asylum, others will follow her lead.
Poland, like Hungary, has a right-wing government, not to keen on being told by EU bureaucrats what to do, so there is a chance Garmo's request will be approved. That would most certainly trigger a diplomatic conflict between the two countries. A precedent was set in 2011, when a Polish woman 'abducted' her nine-year-old Norwegian-born daughter from the foster family where she had been placed by Barnevernet. The woman managed to get back to Poland with her daughter and local courts have consistently refused all demands to have the child returned to Norway.
Even without asylum, Silje Garmo has made it clear she intends to stay in Poland and fight to get back her other daughter, too.

I havent been in civilization in other countys apart from Norway, and I Know 3 families that at the moment have had years of this bullshit, and I know many others that have already been through it and out the other side without having to move away. But it seem that this is the answer that will become much more common in the next couple of years, Its BAD here in Norway. So bad, that I dont even have kids, but I have had run ins with the Child Parent Seperation. This is how bad it is:
I was stood outside the store selling magerzines (thats a job that I love) and my friend who has an active problem with the cps was stood behind me talking on the phone whilst her 8 year old son was sat playing with my dogs. My friend was on the phone quite some time , infact to a lawyer about all these false claims from the CPS, and anyway they left and then can you believe it, I was approached by two late aged women with badges and they were asking me stuff in Norwiegen a sentence that I didn't understand.. Then they said in English, " Someone has reported that you have a child here with you."
I know these people and what they do - even if they don't know theirselves and so they got a sarcastic answer from me
I looked at the dogs, and said "That;s a dog, not a child!"
"Somebody rang us to say there was a child with you and so we came out"
"Thats the problem these days, maybe the problems are always just in the mind, and not a problem at all!"
Then they left, well actually they went to do some shopping.
I am very happy that this is getting exposed to the max, and I apologize for the rather long comment but this is the first thing Ive seen on Steemit regarding Norway, when really a spotlight should be placed on here and other sites more often cos its FUCKED UP

Sure, children need protection, but according to some insiders, as much as 90% of children are taken away on false or unnesecary terms. IMAGINE the horror, for both child and parents. It's unspeakable horror. I would have fallen to pieces if my child was taken away from me. They use threaths of barnevern to keep people from speaking up against the mass immigration/multiculture antiracist cultural marxist agenda.

Quite a scary story - to be immediately reported to the CPS and have them come down check what?! There was really no reason for them to get involved...
And, I must say, this is not the first time the situation in Norway is exposed right here on Steemit. Barnevernet has a terrible reputation across Europe and there have been other stories of abuse.

There is to be no family if those in power have their way. It started by declaring war on fathers, getting us out of the homes and childrens lives if at all possible. Now that this is a success, they turn their gaze onto the mothers. Using schools and medical tools and assistance programs to monitor who is not brainwashing the children correctly, getting them their vaccines and stifling any semblance of individualism from the children.

My prayers are with them... Thank God there are still some sane governments left in the world. Liberalism is like a cancer- an epidemic of self-imposed mental illness. Oh, you should see the drama around here, as both Hungary and Poland have dared to elect conservative governments. The big guys in Brussels give them a very hard time, threaten financial sanctions... the works.

Their panicking... people are beginning to see that the emperor really has no clothes! Because of the alternative media people are beginning to wake up and pay attention. Indeed it is sad and bizarre to see those seek refuge in a former communist country. But the whole CPS child kidnapping ponzi scheme is upside down and oddly reflective of the horrible world we live in. Posting about this helps to shine a light on the travesty and the injustice of the CPS system. It also educates and wakes up the masses. Thanks for sharing this on @familyprotection. There are those who have to flee our country looking for better economics because the government protects us and there are other governments that attempt against families and their objective is to separate them, the fact of going to another country is totally a sacrifice, we do not know what was expected and with children it is even more delicate. I will be doing a forum on psychological first aid that are used when emotionally demanding situations arise such as the forced separation of infants, in my last post is the link I hope you take it

I missed this post, today I saw you mentioned me and my story. It sounds weird indeed, that people like me and people in other EU countries seek asylum in countries like Hungary and Poland.. It is something that I never would have thought years ago, but I believe with every day passing by, that this country is a way better and specially safer option than Spain (where we lived the 14 months before we moved here)
I didnt know much about the country before, though. We went because my boyfriend got a job offer and we were just improving our financial situation.. Never would I have thought that we would feel safer here, than in Spain.

This is crazy to believe! And that for (what we think) a civilised country like Norway. Rumours tell that around 96% of women breastfeed their child. Pretty cool if this is possible, but I wonder how those child organisations would respond if you need formula as well for example.
Anyway, good that I came across this article. Will keep my eyes open if these strange things happen in my country as well.
