Gabriel Cruz, was the name of the most wanted infant in Spain for 12 days, they looked for in local hotels, shops, wells, caves, parks, any place where an infant of his size could fit, even the local police reviewed the security cameras of the region and there was absolutely no trace of the child, his father in conjunction with his stepmother made appearances, petitions and denunciations in the media during those twelve stormy days full of anxiety and worry.
However, there was finally a clue, the security guards had finally had the fruits of their work, they found the infant's stepmother taking his lifeless body from a well in the region to transport it in his car and thus continue hiding it. At first glance this seems creepy, unpredictable and even abominable, among the questions that arise for viewers is: how can a human being be able to do something like that to an infant, as he could fool around him even the media and no one would suspect her, she deserves life imprisonment or simply go to a psychiatric ward for her clear psychic disability.
Starting from this case, misfortune and many of the stories I have read about you in the community, where many parents, whether biological or substitute, attack their children to the point of death and apparently do not feel any kind of remorse, doing their daily routine as if nothing happened, even refusing to social service when they make visits, indicating on many occasions that they are corrective or, even worse when the minors are sent to substitute homes and again they are victims again of aggressions and humiliations, later to have the majority of age and being able to take care of themselves, establish a romantic relationship with someone who also attacks them.
Can the behavior of an aggressive parent / caregiver be predicted?
There are a lot of psychological tests to confirm personality traits, among those the aggressive tendencies that an individual may have and even the way to externalize it, we all know that at some point in our life we are in a bad mood for frustrating ourselves at work, because our salary does not allow us to pay for all the demands of a family, but there are those who exploit and beat their children and there are those who channel it differently.
In the case of Gabriel Cruz, his stepmother suffers from a psychological disorder called psychopathy, which has as its first symptom an intellectual quotient over the norm, that is, it has greater abilities than ordinary people but, instead of focusing on exploiting its potential, it is able to plan crimes practically perfect, that is why he has had a struggle with an 8-year-old boy and ended his life by accident, hence in all the press releases he was considerably emotionally affected and will provide support to the father of the infant.
After conducting an investigation, the police found that one of their biological daughters had died years ago for an alleged accident, so they filed the case, is currently trying to minimize his conviction claiming that it was an accident, in other words, This woman is already used to putting out the lives of defenseless children and it seems that the authorities are unable to put a stop to it.
Are all the people who attack psychopathic?
No, the difference between a normal aggressor and a psychopath is how I tell them in advance about their normal IQ. Usually parents who assault their children have few emotional skills, on occasion they were also victims in childhood of assaults by their parents or caregivers and have normalized the situation. A couple of days ago I read a publication of one of you saying that his father had slapped him so hard that he blew, in his school the social workers were waiting for him and he always expressed a protective position to the father, noting that it was only a corrective.
The aggression has a clear manifestation called risk of escalation, this means that they start with small behaviors and then a outbreak of anger can take place, causing even to end the life of an infant or leave important consequences that determine its development.
Could the death of Gabriel Cruz be avoided?
I regret to say that if and again it is the fault of the social service, since they have only filed the case of death of the stepmother's daughter and it is simply as an accident, having done a real follow-up with a balanced process, the most probable thing is that the boy would be alive. On the other hand, people like her, do not explode one day and end the life of an infant, on the contrary, the child must have had certain symptoms of mistreatment and aggressions, they do not have to be bruises or physical marks, also even psychological attacks, attacking their self-esteem constantly.
Culturally we have normalized the aggression, some see it as a way to provide corrections to our children and let me tell you that NO, beatings or attacks on self-esteem are considerably harmful and no child should submit to it.
In the same way we should consider that many substitute parents are violent and in many opportunities they generate the need in the boys to escape from that house but, it is part of the social service work, to make periodic evaluations to verify the mental state of said parents and if they are really taking care of the child or on the contrary abusing him as you already know, in many cases it happens and they never do anything, until unfortunately it has fatal consequences and the saddest thing is that after ending a child's life, the social service does not allow that information to come to light.
The objective of my post is very clear, the CPS should carry out controls on the adoptive parents and even you should not normalize the aggression suffered by any of your caregivers or parents, it is NOT normal, to educate our children correctly is not necessary hit them or attack their self-esteem. Many of the cases that you share could have been prevented if the social service performed its work correctly.
