The discrimination and abandonment are obvious.

I have written about my experiences with the care system in a previous post. I've also acknowledged that my experience in the 80's is less likely to happen today, as that model of child care has been mostly abandoned.
The changes should have made better the bad experiences, or at least lessened them. But it hasn't! The abuse of our children has continued and in my mind is no better, perhaps even worse, than it was before.
The abuse is taking place in different settings and we can see that the means by which these animals groom children has evolved. The results, sadly, are the same. Children, predominantly of the working classes and poor have been abused on an industrial scale. It's girls this time and not always from children's homes but from loving family homes.

The worrying twist this time is the attitude of social services! Some of the attitudes to the children and what was happening to them are horrific. They matched the reasons given by some of the abusers themselves! that the children somehow deserved it!! It's unbelievable. As on previous occasions the extent of this scandal is being hidden. The implications are huge...

GREAT TIMING
To add insult to injury parts of social services have been sold to private corporations This is making matters worse.
The staff working in these corporations are often on zero hours contracts. They have one eye on bonus' and shifts. They report back to a social worker who makes a care plan on their recommendations. It's ridiculous. It's like "Foxes in charge of the henhouse" It's as if working class kids have now become a commodity it's a recipe for even bigger disasters at a time when our kids face the worst threats.

As I've said before, it's predominantly working class kids that face the worse threats and it's down to the attitude that i mention above, that working class families and kids deserve it or they are to blame for their abuse.
Something that demonstrates this perfectly is the difference in treatment of two families. The Mc Cann family lost their daughter Madellene in tragic circumstances some time ago. The investigation for the missing girl has been given millions and the press have treated the family as victims. Yet if you were to think of any number of missing working class kids the story is often very different. The investigation is usually out of the media eye within a couple of months and the media make veiled accusations based on the families background.
Right now there are cases every week where social services have made moral judgements on families, along with the police and left the girls to be abused by gangs who make the same moral judgement when they attack them. It's an epidemic in the UK and social services tried to cover it up!
We need to be more vigilant as these private, for profit companies take over the care of our children. We need to identify the children who may be at risk and watch out for them. They could be neighbours or kids we see around our communities. These kids need protection.
Reviews have been hobbled and widespread abuse has been hidden by social services and local authorities. there is an institutional bias towards the plight of the working class. This bias runs through all institutions but it's most sinister and causes most harm in social services.
It's time we stopped asking for reform and demanded it. We should demand an enquiry into the scandal of child abuse in the UK and social services failure to protect an entire community. Nothing will happen until we make our voices heard. This seems to be a crisis across most western nations.
It would be helpful if someone could post links to other groups like survivors groups. if anyone has any links please leave them in the comments section. Divided we are weak, together we are strong.

Its quite simple "Children do evil if evil they see"
Something like that. It means basically that children grow up!
I'd like to hear any comments and any links to other groups. This is going to get worse as private companies cut corners.

"Child Protection Agencies" are taking children away from their loving families.
THESE FAMILIES NEED PROTECTING.

OK thanks . They are stock images but in future I'll reference them. Thanks for the advice..

You are so right @theaverageman, nothing will happen until we make our voices heard, so thank you for your voice.
Together we are strong and we can stand and fight back but we can't if we are divided and by ourselves.
Thank you again for your voice.

You are right. It will carry on unless we stand up for kids who have no one fighting their corner. They must be the most vulnerable in society..
Thanks for adding your voice..

Yes, they are out there, you just have to search for them.

Cool..

I have unfortunately been employed by the social service that depends on the nation and the salary is disastrous, I have only practiced as a psychologist since last Monday and I practically lost the whole week, they are the ones who delay the processes, there are many children who they depend on the psychological evaluation to be returned to their parents or taken to shelters and it does not seem to matter to them, if you want to read I have made a post

Thank you, i will go and read that...What country did you work for SS in??
