Just thought I would show the Craigslist Ad I have for my calves....

"Angus beef grass fed. No hormones or antibiotics added .

We've hand raised two calves from babies on our property.

We're selling our beef in quarters/halves/wholes for $3.50/pound + cut/wrap at $0.60/pound.

The beef will be ready middle of September!

Average weight of beef: Whole = 600 lbs, Half = 300 lbs, Quarter = 150 lbs

Thank you. I don't need this much meat for my wife and I but, if I did keep it all, it would be just about $3.50 per lb. I hope I can sell a little over half of it, but I am not sure I will get that done. People seem to be a bit hesitant to put out nearly a thousand dollars for a quarter of a beef (350 lbs hanging weight x $4 for the beef and the butcher.)

I understand. But they will not be able to find any better meat. It is so nice to know exactly where your meat comes from
