Last week was a marathon of shoeing horses. I had ten to fifteen everyday and I'm really feeling it this morning. I woke up with a sore back and feeling like I need my oil changed. Luckily, I get a break today.
Mondays are my off days. They have been ever since I was the official farrier for Paxton Farm for ten years. As the event farrier there, I was on site from Thursday through Sunday afternoon. I needed a day off after that to get my act together again so I could keep my rig and life in order.
Luckily, this fine Monday morning is one of those gloriously cool and beautiful mornings that I just can't ever get enough of. I took advantage of it by going out and taking some pictures of my shoeing rig. I'm thinking of entering a contest on Fstoppers this week and I want to spend a couple of mornings experimenting with my rig as the subject. This week's contest is auto photography.
Speaking of cameras and stuff, last week I had a super successful week of filming with my GoPro. I got pretty much the entire week shot, which includes driving and shoeing/ trimming pretty much entirely. I need to edit it all down and do some narration, which will take some time for sure, but I look forward to spending the heat of the day today doing that.
Have a great day and I'll be back with some more as soon as I can.
