I used to enjoy going to the silk shops in Benaras but I have not been to Kashmir. And there was no silk in Himichal Pradesh.

Yeah you are absolutely right about the silk cloth,, it is something which gives very different feeling when we wear it ,,
And it becomes quite attractive on females..

Silk is very special natural fabric! These are exquisite printed silk! Silk strands are very thin and strong!
How could something do soft and thin be so strong and flexible at the same time?!

Interesting fact about silk:

Chinese culture have been practicing silk for at least 5000 years!

Hello @onceuponatime. Good natural silk is a rarity. Now it is very expensive. Typically, manufacturers add silk to another material to reduce its cost.

Silk material gives a good feelings in the hand when touched and it also give a beautiful design when it is sew to perfection . It is a good fashion material to use @onceuponatime

I love silk. I draw a traditional Chinese painting. In this painting silk is often used instead of rice paper. But to draw on silk you need to study specifically .... While I was only buying scarves from Chinese silk.
