Before you dismiss this as one of those ponzi scams, hear me out. It's not. It's faucets. If you don't know what a cryptocurrency faucet is, then keep reading.
Companies will use this thing called a "faucet" to test in order to make sure their able to successfully transact cryptocurrency. Or a new coin will setup a faucet in order to ensure a certain exchange can accept their coin without any errors. The incentive for you testing their coin is.. you get to keep the cryptocurrency.
Yeah. They give away a little bit at a time to testers and don't expect it back.
So I'll give an example of a recent one that at the time I had no idea what it would be worth. Rootstock. I'm giving this information away - if it's still available when you read this post, great - more power to you. Here's the link to the Rootstock faucet:
At the time of writing this post here's the balance available in the faucet..
Free for the taking.. they give away 0.1 Rootstock at a time...
Note that for this Rootstock faucet, you will need a Jaxx wallet. You can download Jaxx here:
Jaxx has wallets available for Android, iOS, OSx, Chrome Extension, Windows, and Linux - quite a powerful array of platform support.
Help yourself.
If it's not available when you read this - don't feel like you missed out.. I did some digging and found that there's faucets everywhere just giving this stuff away.
I have tested the Rootstock, so I can confirm that one is legit.
Here's some more that I was able to find..

Also, if you find discrepancies in the faucets provided - please comment so I can make updates.
Or if you come across any active faucets - please post those to help out the community.
Thanks!
After reading this, I'm seeing a lot of potential to get into brand new coins for virtually zero cost. This is huge if you come across a gem that will skyrocket in value in the future. Awesome post! Can't wait to try this faucet idea out.
