The fear of being left alone is one of the most debilitating fears. The definition of utopia is the extreme fear of being left alone; this fear often causes panic attacks and severe anxiety. Even when you are not in fact alone, the mere thought of being left alone can cause you intense anxiety and sleepless nights. This can be a very dangerous situation for someone who suffers from this disorder.

There are many causes of separation anxiety disorder but the main causes are a feeling of loneliness, feeling like there is nothing special about them and also feeling isolated and removed from people. A common symptom is the inability to socialize and interacting with others. They may become extremely depressed because they feel they are not understood by anyone and cannot connect with anyone. Sometimes they may have depression because they feel the only person who understands them is themselves.

The symptoms of this disorder are often very similar to the symptoms of clinical anxiety disorder and phobias. However, there are some key differences between these two conditions. One of the most common symptoms is constant fear of leaving the safety of their own home and of possibly experiencing loneliness. Other symptoms include extreme loneliness and being afraid of potentially losing that companion or friend.

The Fear of Being Alone can be debilitating if left untreated. This disorder can cause the sufferer to develop feelings of deep sadness and hopelessness and as a result may develop some suicidal thoughts. The most effective treatment for this condition is usually therapy which can help the individual deal with their fear of loneliness and feeling abandoned by others.

This condition often occurs when a person comes out of a long-term relationship. The breakup of a romantic relationship can bring sudden and powerful changes in a person's life. A person may have been feeling emotionally disconnected from their partner for some time, and after the breakup, this detachment may be even more pronounced. A person may also develop severe fears of leaving their partner and of possibly being left alone in the case of a divorce.
