Day 1 detox and fasting - after being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and arthritis (hips) in 2010 I have been very careful not to trigger pain and exhaustion episodes. Well, after 6-years of working full on from project to project with my Detox service and government health/social care services, I am right in the middle of one such episode. I guess you could say, I hit the wall. After waking up in full on pain again today I said to myself, enough is enough.
We have all read the numerous reports online and in the news about the benefits of fasting, food allergies having a systemic effect on our bodies, and how living a sedentary life speeds up the aging process. Some evidence based info on the benefits of fasting. I am still drinking tea, but no sugar, food or even fruit juice. Just water. I will aim for 3-days.

So Today I am starting a fast, taking time off work, exercising and getting well again. Started with a pain killer detox last night. Watch this space. If anyone else suffers from these conditions or related, would like to hear your story as well.
Things i did so far today - took time off work. Stretched and yoga. Had some homeopathic Aesculus 6c for back pain, Narayani Cleansing mix 3 times daily and water. That is it. Wish me luck.
Interesting @andanotherthing, I look forward more :)

Thanks Alan. It’s a work in progress. In my opinion they only way to get through an FM episode is to keep it clean (homeopathy), simple (no conventional drugs, processed foods or alcohol) and live in the moment (The Power of Now is a great book to start with).
