BAGIAN-3 (TERAKHIR)
“Tergantung dalamnya pusat gempa. Berdasarkan guncangannya, kayaknya iya… Berpotensi tsunami. Tapi berdoa saja semoga nggak.”
Setelah guncangan reda, kepanikan warga mulai menurun. Hendra berusaha menghubungi Sherly sejak tadi.
“Jangan percaya isu, Pak!”
Supir tetap menggeleng tegas.
Hendra menanyai supir lain. Jawabannya nyaris serupa.
Hotel?
Hendra kembali mencoba menghubungi Sherly. Tapi masih gagal.
Tossed Tsunami Waves of Love
SECTION-3 (LAST)
EARTHQUAKE on Wednesday it only happened about two minutes. But the shock was great. This is different from the earthquake that struck Aceh followed by the tsunami. At that time, the shaking slowly, then grew increasingly fierce gradually.
Hendra is already outside the terminal when the shocks end. He was sure he would hit the next shock so he invited people to seek refuge, away from the building. To convince the people at the terminal, Hendra to confess himself from Aceh. "I've been feeling a tremendous earthquake from this. I survived the tsunami! "
The shout was paying off. Many people searched for safety by avoiding the building and sitting on the asphalt and grass. That's what they do because people are not able to stand so strong the shock.
"Do you think it's a potential tsunami?" a boy asked Hendra.
"Depending on the center of the earthquake. Based on the shocks, I think yes ... Potential tsunami. But just pray not. "
After the shocks subsided, the panic began to decline. Hendra tried to contact Sherly since last. But never once. The short message he had sent seemed to have arrived, but there has been no reply until now. It makes Hendra more anxious. He knew the Sherly's house was not too far from the beach.
The feeling of hendra becomes uncomfortable. She worries something bad happened to Sherly, and maybe her family. But, Hendra can not do much to help.
The panic began to subside once the shocks did not happen again. Even so, people have not dared to return to the airport building for fear of aftershocks. Hendra sees things around. There was no serious damage at the airport building. However, he can be sure at some angle there is a serious rift.
Walking to the taxi stand, Hendra sees several taxis still parked empty. Not only was there no passenger in it, but also the driver was gone. Hendra asked some drivers who stood on the sidewalk while talking about the great earthquake that just happened. But no one dared to enter the city of Padang.
"Reportedly sea water rose to the ground. Paid ten million I dare not pull..." said a taxi driver with Padang accent.
"Do not believe the issue, Sir!"
The driver still shook his head firmly.
Hendra asked another driver. The answer is almost identical. Finally by breaking up Hendra joined some residents who are busy with mobile phones. Although the telephone network is disturbed, but a citizen managed to get information a hotel collapsed and hundreds of people struck the building. Inside the hotel there is a meeting.
"What hotel, Sir?" Hendra asked with a thumping chest.
"No info yet."
Hotel?
Instantly the boy remembered Sherly's house not too far from a hotel called Prince Beach. The information made him anxious. If the Prince Beach Hotel collapsed, most likely Sherly's house is also damaged. And the hotel is located right on the beach. Sherly once said in his message, that Hendra to Padang should stay at Prince Beach because it is close to his home.
Hendra again tried to contact Sherly. But still fail.
At that moment, he saw a taxi moving out of the airport. No passengers in it.
"Taxi….!! Taxi ... !!! "Hendra shouted loudly as he chased and waved his hand. The taxi driver slowed the car and beckoned Hendra with a wave. But Hendra still insisted on chasing to make the driver was forced to stop.
"Sorry Sir, I do not operate anymore. I want to go home, "the man's voice sounded desperate.
"Do you want to go to Padang City?"
He nodded. "I want to see my wife and sons."
"I follow you, Sir!" Hendra immediately broke in without waiting for the taxi driver's response. He also wants to see the circumstances of Sherly and his family to make sure they are okay. He did not care if the tsunami came and swept it as far as 2 kilometers as it had been in Banda Aceh. Origin with Sherly, tossed to the end of the world was Hendra willing.
After the taxi that Hendra boarded out of the airport area, another taxi came in and stopped at the arrival terminal. A veiled girl came out of the taxi after handing over some money. She twirled around the corner looking for a tall boy who had not seen her for nearly five years. The girl kept a longing in her chest, mixed with anxiety that did not recede. His hand holds a cellular phone, with repeatedly pressed repeated call buttons but still fails.
The girl got information that the plane from Banda Aceh that transit in Medan, had landed some time ago. He asked a passenger named Hendra, but the airport officers were too busy to get the name. Busy to contact his family to ask about the situation. Telephone network is difficult after earth rocked by earthquake. But the girl was grateful because previously there was a short message that managed to enter from his mama. Mama told me the family was okay and had moved away from the beach to avoid the possibility of a tsunami even though there was no potential information. Instead they are worried about his daughter who walks alone to the airport.
The girl threw herself in a chair while sighing. He's confused about making a decision. Was on the way to pick up his lover at the airport. But approaching the airport gate, the earthquake happened until the taxi had to stop and they sought refuge.
Now, he's confused looking for the guy. He worried if his lover had entered the city of Padang and then trapped in an earthquake. More worried, when the tsunami came and the guy was waves by himself. If they were together, they were thrown to the end of the world.[]
To commemorate the Padang earthquake, Sumatra Barat, which occurred on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 with a magnitude of 7.6 on the Richter scale and resulted in 1,117 people died.
Ending nya sangat luar biasa kanda😀
